How to donate?
To be a sperm donor, very strict semen characteristics must be met, which is why the percentage of candidates rejected is usually very high.
On the other hand, once the donation has been made, each donor will be selected according to medical criteria that allow for an adjustment to the characteristics of the couple.
If the above conditions are met, a first test sample is taken to check the quality of the semen. In addition, a freezing/thawing test of the sample is performed, since not all samples can withstand this process.
If the quality of the sperm is adequate, a medical examination will be performed and tests will be requested to obtain the blood group and to rule out sexually transmitted and genetic diseases.
In addition, in the event that the family medical history reflects any disease, the relevant tests will be performed to minimize the transmission of hereditary diseases when making the donation.
